Technical Design
In my work experience as a technical designer, I think as a pattern maker as I develop the fit. The positions of Technical design and pattern-making are adjacent positions so I found it important to communicate to develop products to receive exactly what we intend
Here is an example of me utilizing a techpack I developed to create patterns and then transferring the DXF to CLO3D for a virtual fitting from sizes 14/XXS-XXL

Through Development

Good American
In my time at Good American I got great exposure of how a structured technical design team work with one another and other teams for a successful delivery but when thing don't go as planned how you recalibrate and adapt is important to get back on track!
Even though my position was technical design I actively reached out to design to alleviate their wotk load in creating technical sketches based on reference photos and rendering development samples for new styles.

In my time the technical design team was going through allot of change with incoming and outgoing technical designers so I got the opportunity to adopt their styles as my own when we dispersed them among our team.

Product I worked with;
-cut and sew knit
-fully fashioned knits
-soft woven dresses
-swim/athletic
-corsets
-denim bottom
-woven top (jackets and shirts)
Silver Jeans
At Silver Jeans I got the opportunity to create new bodies on Optitex using competitor samples. To create a accurate shape of the bottom hook depths of the jeans I used a digitizer to get exactly what we wanted which was a amazingly quick and easy way in comparison to developing from from a reference pattern file or scratch! From there I got to use Optixes3d function to verify before sending base pattern to official pattern maker to adopt the style completely along with graded spec.

Little Bipsy
Little Bipsy, a great experience to establish a structured technical design process. Here i really got to exhibit all skills i learned in my previous work experiences and education. Little Bipsy had no records or process to maintain product construction and fit quality so I took it upon myself to create a handbook for a new quality assurance team.

In my time here I function as a technical designer, pattern maker, CAD designer, and product developer. I have many experiences at my time here that developed the company for the better for instance I trained the Buyer/production team in how to select a capable factory as we were having quality and problems with the ones that was used before I arrived there.

To maintain the integrity of fabric quotes and costs I reviewed the markers used for out 0-3m-10yr size run and decided to create core style patterns based on the technical packaged I developed for our new vendors for a speedy turnover. Here i got to verify the proto fit in 3D programs expanding the size range for tween sizes as we used them for our uniform NCA partnerships.

Product I worked with;
-outerwear
-cut and sew knits
-fully fashioned knits
-swim
-dresses
-infants/toddlers
-tailored clothing
Et Al. Freelance Project
Et al was one of the most challenging project I have as the company was starting from scratch so my role was many. Here I preformed as a technical designer, Pattern maker, Product developer, Textile sourcing / developing, and production. Et al Is a startup children's outerwear company which was a great immersion of working with a new market and type of product with special grading! Although I had many jobs and at first it was stressful Adapting to doing new things and trying to keep costs low was a great learning experience!

CURACAO Accessories
In this project based partneship I worked with Curacao to develope a line of accessories emboding the design identity of their customer while leading them forawrd. Through this process I was in charge of the technical design, construction and design of product. Here I worked closely with our vendors to guiding them with as many supporting assets to make what we anticipated for bulk. Through my work I love to integrate diffrent 3D CAD softwares to visualise different design possiblities before final approval .
